Air cargo is a high-margin opportunity, yet many airlines fly with the bottom of their planes 85% empty. Belli’s platform replaces legacy cargo software, eliminates paper processes, and introduces automation to streamline operations, optimize planning, and increase sales.
Belli was highlighted at WiT Indie 2025 in Penang, where five Southeast Asian startup founders shared their journeys in travel and tech. Co-founder Alexander Khor spoke about tackling the “85% empty plane problem” and the challenges of convincing airlines to adopt new solutions. Despite long sales cycles and complex industry dynamics, Belli closed its first airline client within four months using only its CVs and wireframes.
Since inception, Belli has achieved impressive milestones: signing roughly one airline per month, reaching breakeven in under nine months, and completing a $2.3M USD seed round within 18 months. The startup has also gained international recognition, winning the Vercel AI Accelerator, FutureTravel Summit, and SaaStock, and joining the Palantir Technologies Startup Fellowship in New York.
